The Company
Hansteel Industries Australia Pty Ltd (HSI) was established in 2011 to close the gap between customer needs and supplier ego. HSI's position was to support the open minded mining companies who wanted to work in partnership to reduce their total cost of ownership. HSI achieve this by supplying high quality products at a reasonable price, backed by technical knowledge, whilst providing customers the responsiveness they require to maintain continuity of operations.
These principles continue to underpin the Hansteel business and is at the core of every decision, ensuring that the customer needs are understood and are addressed in a timely and thorough manner.
Capacity
Hansteel has the capacity to produce high quality, fully machined castings from less than 1kg through to in excess of 100 tonnes.
This capacity includes manganese castings up to 16 tonnes, steel castings over 100 tonnes and bronze castings with a mass of up to 2,500kgs.
Our forging facility can produce from spin-forging crushing rolls and gears, to main shafts, weighing up to 50,000kgs.
Hansteel’s partner foundries are specialized in various materials including:
- Manganese steel castings: Mn 13%, Mn 18%, Mn 22% (with or without chrome &/or molybdenum additions)
- EnduraStud insert castings
- High chromium white irons: Cr13%, Cr20%, Cr25% and Ni-hard
- Bronze castings: up to Pb 22% fully machined
- Carbon steel as per international standards or client specification
- High strength low alloy castings
- Grey iron, ductile iron
